FFL / NFA Information
Possum Kingdom Tactical sells our branded rifles and third party firearms, only in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
In order to purchase serialized items online: You must be 18 or older to purchase long guns and 21 or older to purchase handguns. Check your local & state laws. You must complete the following steps before we can process your order: 1. Verify that the product you wish to purchase from PKT meets your state, county and municipal firearm laws, 2. Find a local FFL who will accept the transfer of the item for you. This can be your local Gun Shop, Pawn Shop, Gun Range or any other location which holds a current FFL and will help you with your transaction.
Once you have completed your firearm purchase online you will receive an order confirmation email. If you do not receive an email order status update within two business days after placing your order, contact us: sales@pkt.fyi. Please make sure you provide your name and firearm description on any correspondence you send us.
Use the address of your FFL as the “ship to” address when you purchase your serialized item on our website.
Contact your FFL and tell them you would like to transfer a firearm from PKT. This transaction is between you and your FFL.
Have your FFL email a copy of their FFL to: admin@pkt.fyi. We check all FFLs through eZCheck 3.1.2 – Federal Firearms License Search (atf.gov) to confirm that they are a legitimate FFL. Once verified, we will process your order and notify you upon shipment of your firearm to your local FFL dealer.
Please note, once the firearm is unclaimed at your FFL for 60 days, you forfeit said firearm any any and all funds paid, to PKT—no exceptions.
Once your FFL receives your firearm, you’ll have to go there and do an ATF form 4473 and pass a background check, to take your firearm home. Some states skip the background check if you have a valid Concealed Carry Permit. Ask your FFL.
Firearm Restrictions by State: California: Handguns must be on Approved List. Assault weapons must be CA Approved. Connecticut: No Semi-Auto Rifles. Maryland: Firearms sales only to Class 01 FFL Dealer. Varying restrictions on Assault Weapons Massachusetts: No Handguns, Varying restrictions on Assault Weapons. New Jersey: Firearms sales only to Class 01 FFL Dealer. Varying restrictions on Assault Weapons New York: No Assault Weapons, No Handguns (NYC) Washington D.C: No Firearms
Please check your local laws for restrictions before ordering firearms. NOTE: Ammunition and Firearms must be purchased separately, in two separate orders.
High-Capacity Restricted Shipping: Due to potential conflict with state and local laws, we do not ship high-capacity magazines to the following states: California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York.
Warranty Procedures at buyer’s FFL: If there is a potential warranty issue, please contact us at admin@pkt.fyi and we will address their concern immediately. No returns or exchanges are given on 80% receivers once they are purchased/received by customer. No returns or exchanges are given on items damaged by customer, or items that have been used and/or items modified/worked on by the customer, gunsmith or any other person (including but not limited to lower receiver products).
Return Procedures from buyer’s FFL: No returns or exchanges given on FFL transfer items once the firearm is transferred out from your local FFL dealer (does not apply to warranty issues). We suggest they inspect their items carefully upon receipt for any defects, damage, misalignment and/or assembly issues.
Firearm Shipping Procedures : Firearms must be shipped in new corrugated packaging which meets the UPS (or other shipping service) Single Wall Box Strength standard. All firearms are packaged in accordance with UPS (or other shipping service).
Packaging Guideline Specifications: Ammunition must be shipped separately from packages that contain firearms (including handguns). Packages containing handguns must be separated from other packages tendered to UPS (or other shipping service) for delivery. The shipper must use Delivery Confirmation Adult Signature Required and Direct Delivery Only services for each package containing a firearm, including a handgun, and affix a UPS (or other shipping service) label requesting an adult signature upon delivery. The labeling and outer box markings on all firearms shipments should not identify the contents as containing a firearm. Labeling, including the shipper’s and consignee’s abbreviated names on the shipping label or air shipping document, must be non-descriptive.
Finally, we inform your FFL that there is a package on the way and we provide them tracking information.
Shipping and Handling Procedures and Cost: Our preferred shipping service is USPS, though we may use others. Possum Kingdom Tactical charges shipping based on the delivery address. We HAVE to ship any serialized item to an FFL. We will ship any non-serialized items directly to you.
